Dr. Fecri Karanki is an Assistant Professor at Purdue University School of Aviation and Transportation Technology. His research primarily focuses on productivity and efficiency, the effects of regulatory changes, and the interplay between market structure and economic performance. His work has been featured in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Air Transport Management, Transport Policy, Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, Economics of Transportation, and Managerial and Decision Economics.

In addition, Dr. Karanki is the Principal Investigator for the ACRP 03-72 project, "A Guide on the Economic Impacts of E-Commerce on Airports and Airport Stakeholders," and serves as Co-Principal Investigator for ACRP 01-55, "A Guide for In-Terminal Airport Concession Programs." He is also actively involved in the Transportation Research Board (TRB) as the Committee Research Coordinator for the AV040 Aviation Economics and Forecasting Committee and as a member of the AV030 Environmental Issues in Aviation Committee. Furthermore, Dr. Karanki contributes to the Transportation Research Forum (TRF) as its Vice President, focusing on enhancing the activities of its chapters.

Dr. Karanki also brings 12 years of experience in global supply chain management to his academic role. Previously, he served as a Supply Supervisor at Ipragaz, a leading liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) company under SHV Energy. In this capacity, he led the development and execution of the company's annual LPG supply program, managing a budget exceeding $120 million.

Dr. Karanki holds a Ph.D. in Transportation and Logistics, an M.S. in Applied Statistics from North Dakota State University, and an MBA from Istanbul Technical University.
